Clay County Habitat for Humanity announces it has secured funding through the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP), a new down payment assistance program for qualifying citizens. Through this program, more people will now be eligible for Habitat’s zero-interest, affordable mortgage payment loans. The program is open to residents who have lived in Clay County for at least one year.
Carolyn Edwards, Executive Director, commented on this exciting news – “This new down payment assistance program makes buying a home possible for many underserved members of our community. It opens the door for many more citizens, who wish to become homeowners, the opportunity to realize the American dream.”
