Remembering Terry Rollen

Statement from Carolyn Edwards, Executive Director –
Clay County Habitat has lost another friend. Cmdr. Claude Terence (Terry) Rollen passed away Friday, September 24th.
Terry began his volunteer service with Clay County Habitat in 2000 working with our construction team. He later became a dedicated board member and served on our board of directors from 2002 until 2008. During this time, he was board president from 2004-2005, vice president from 2002-2003 and continued as a board member until 2008.
Terry was a devout Christian and member of Orange Park United Methodist Church where he volunteered with the James Boys. The James Boys continue to volunteer with Habitat and serve as our CORE volunteer construction team. Terry also chaired our Faith Relations Committee. This true public servant dedicated many hours helping construct homes for modest income families and he assisted the affiliate in many other ways. He had a long standing interest and participation in community volunteerism and church missions. He worked in many capacities with Habitat from governance to fundraising.
He led a life dedicated to helping others and will be sorely missed by our community.
