Remembering Jerry Kemp

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear friend, dedicated volunteer, and former Board member, Jerry Kemp. Since 2001, he helped lead the organization through many large decisions as a former Board President and lead numerous volunteer groups on the construction site. He was the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Our records show Jerry volunteered more than 6,200 hours, but anyone who knew him knows that he never stopped advocating for Clay County Habitat and the need for affordable housing in our county. We are tremendously grateful for all that Jerry contributed to each of us at Clay Habitat. His presence, dedication, and positivity will be greatly missed.
Due to COVID-19, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be scheduled in the future. Please keep Wanda, Jerry’s wife, his family, and the Habitat family in your prayers.
